Cell Phone vs. Bible

An oldie but a goodie!

I wonder what would happen if we treated our
Bible like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several time a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn’t live without it?

What if we gave it to kids as gifts?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go…. hmm…where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing…

Unlike our cell phone, we don’t have to worry about our Bible being
disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill……and no dropped calls!

Makes you stop and think, “where are my priorities?”

  1. oh this is GREAT!!!!!! How True! I never heard this one before, I will have to share this with my husband, he will enjoy it too, Thank you

  2. “I have hidden Your Word in my heart…”

If we spent as much time thinking about the Word as we do with our cell phones, what kind of difference would it make in our lives? It might not change other people or the circumstances of our political, socio-economic status or even physical truth about us, but it will turn our minds right side up. We will be different no matter what the world outside of is doing.

I might not carry a Bible in my pocket (instead it’s in my brief case) but I desire more to have whole passage memorized so when I need them, they are there for the Holy Spirit to remind me.
