A Woman Should Know

owningpink.com

I saw this online and had to share it. I have no idea who wrote it, but it’s good!

A Woman Should Have…
a youth she’s content to leave behind…
a past that she’s looking forward to retelling in her old age…
a set of screwdrivers, a cordless drill, and a black lacey bra…
one friend who always makes her laugh… and one who lets her cry…

A Woman Should Have…
eight matching plates, wine glasses with stems, and a recipe for a meal, that will make her guests feel honored…

A Woman Should Know…
how to fall in love without losing herself…
how to quit a job, break up with a boyfriend, and confront a friend without ruining the friendship….

A Woman Should Know…
When to Try Harder and When To Walk Away…

A Woman Should Know…
that she can’t change the length of her calves, the width of her hips, or the nature of her parents..
that her childhood may not have been perfect…
but it’s Over…

A Woman Should Know…
what she would and wouldn’t do for love….
and how to live alone even if she doesn’t like it…

A Woman Should Know…
whom she can trust, whom she can’t, and why she shouldn’t take it personally…

A Woman Should Know…
where to go – be it to her best friend’s kitchen table or a charming Inn in the woods…
when her soul needs soothing…

A Woman Should Know…
What she can and can’t accomplish in a day…
a month…
and a year…

  1. I like the comment that a woman should know HOW TO QUIT HER JOB, LOL, I so want to just up and quit my job, (but I don’t because I need direction on where I’d be going first)… but oh how I want to QUIT!

  2. Hi TLC, miss you, still think of you all the time and pray for you. Thank you for your encouraging words. I am so sad to have to go to work, but I can’t quit; I have to wait for God to close the door, or open a new one, and ask Him what it is I need to learn. I just want to give up so bad and walk out, but that isn’t a good testimony to others going thru their trials. Thank you for your prayers 🙂
